mPanion takes the privacy of user’s information very seriously. This notice
explains our privacy practices and the choices you can make about the way your information
mPanion is a completely opt-in service; informed, express consent is received from
the date it was last updated. Your use of the Site following the posting of such
changes or revised statement shall constitute your acceptance of any such changes.
End User Privacy Controls
Users are in complete control of their location sharing and presence, and
can change the privacy settings at any time by updating the group’s privacy settings
on their mobile phone or the mPanion Web site. Users may turn location sharing and
presence on or off for a specified group of contacts, or change the privacy level
of information shared by updating the groups privacy settings on their mobile phone
or the mPanion Web site.
Location and Status Sharing By Groups.
Your location and/or presence status is only shared with those you choose to add
to a specified group, according to the privacy settings for that group. In order
for you to share your location with someone, you must first either invite them to
be your mPanion contact and assign them to one of the groups, or accept a received
invitation from a friend. When an invitation is successfully sent, the prospective
contact can view your location and/or status immediately. However, they must consent
to a reciprocal "connection" before you will be able to view their location
